World Cup Match Preview: Cameroon vs. Brazil (Group A)

World Cup Match Preview: Cameroon vs. Brazil (Group A)

Match Date: 23 June 2014 (local time)

Venue: Brasilia

A scoreless stalemate against Mexico prevented Brazil from totally securing the top spot in Group A. This leaves them with no other option, but to win the match against the struggling Cameroon.

Speaking of Cameroon, the squad will be fighting for honor’s sake when they face the top pick of different world cup betting tips. Volker Finke and his men has neither won nor forced a draw in their last two (2) matches. Certainly, they need to impress in their last match in the tournament.

What happened?

Unable to recover from their narrow defeat to Mexico, Cameroon, once again, fell into the pitch black pit when Croatia scored four (4) goals and left them scoreless.

Their winning chances became slimmer with the injury of its talismanic striker, Samuel Eto’o. Cameroon’s problem became even worse when Alexander Song received a red card after a nasty foul against Mario Mandzukic.

Brazil struggled to stay on top after the above-mentioned draw with Mexico. Clearly, it opened opportunities for both Mexico and Croatia to take the limelight away from them.

Aside from Hulk, who incurred a muscle injury, the rest of the Seleção is a 100% fit.

Considering the fact that Brazil has a better team form, makes them the favorite of the match. Yet, they cannot afford to be over confident as Cameroon might force a draw or even an upset. Playing for national pride is more dangerous than vying for a qualification spot.
