Kovac Includes Inexperienced Mocinic In Croatia’s Final List

The head honcho of Croatia’s national football team, Niko Kovac, surprised everybody when he included the uncapped Ivan Mocinic into his final list of qualified players.

Right after dominating the friendly against Mali, Kovac made a bold move of including Mocinic into his list of players, which will complete the Croatian contingent that will go to Brazil.

Kovac described Mocinic as a “young and aggressive” player who is readily capable of being an “asset” to the squad. He stressed that Mocinic is the perfect solution for the “midfield cover” that they are hoping for.

The young midfielder is really a replacement for Milan Badjel. Muscle injuries have been plaguing the latter and apparently, these have prevented him from making the final cut. However, Kovac stressed that Badjel took the decision professionally as the veteran understood the need for having a set of fit players during the competition.

Kovac also acknowledged the fact that the other young players of the squad expressed their “disappointment” over his decision. Yet, the top brass explained that Mocinic earned and deserve his spot. He added that the younger ones, who were not chosen, will always be a potential World Cup member in the future.

Mocinic is expected to play and feature along with experienced players such as Luka Modric, Mario  Mandzukic and team captain Darijo Srna, to name a few.
Croatia is grouped with Brazil, Mexico and Cameroon. The squad is pegged as one of the favorites of world cup betting tipsand is expected to snatch the 2nd spot in the group during the competition. Likewise, Croatia is valued to win at a profitable 7.50 in 12BET.
