Ghana’s Black Stars Ignore Injury Issues

Ghana’s Black Stars Ignore Injury Issues

Less than a month before the awaited event, injury woes are slowly cropping out of Ghana’s camp. Nevertheless, the squad denies reports that the injuries are serious enough to cripple the team.

One of the very first injury-related issue that the Black Stars confront was the collision between Asamoah Gyan and Stephen Adams. During their training at Netherland, the aerial challenge between the two resulted to a “deep cut” to Adams’ lips. Nevertheless, the goalkeeper was given immediate medical attention. Adam soon returned to training after the aforementioned treatment.

Unfortunately, the said incident did not prevent Ghana from being at the center of injury issues. Recently, Rabiu Mohammed has taken the spotlight due to reports of his “unfit condition.” Mohammed is allegedly enduring a “carried-forward” injury from his Russian squad and faces high possibility from being dropped from the provisional squad.

However, Mohammed denied all injury allegations and stressed that he is a 100% fit for the competition. He added that he has “no intentions” of missing the most awaited footballing tournament in the world.

Amidst the said reports, the Ghanaian contingent remains confident in their upcoming performance for the said competition.

Team captain, Asamoah Gyan mentioned that they are banking on their heart-breaking experience during the last World Cup where they failed to enter the semi-finals after a missed penalty that came through Luis Suarez’s handball.

Pitted against football powerhouses such as Germany and Portugal, Ghana’s world cup odds are valued at 10.00 in 12BET and is expected to finish 3rd in its group.
