Many analysts consider the 2014 FIFA World Cup to be one of the best FIFA tournaments ever, thanks to the volcanic performances of some of the world’s best players. Now set to fire attacks in the quarter-finals, Argentina and Belgium will battle out a tight encounter to obtain seeding in the semi-finals.

Albiceleste may have won all their past matches in the tournament but the results have also left questions over the team’s excessive reliance on (but lackluster support to) team captain Leo Messi. They appear to be a one-man team, although the likes of di Maria (who scored the winning goal in the Round of 16), Higuain, Aguero, and Lavezzi can make Argentina’s attack highly explosive. Most of the players are not using their full potential even if they are also touted to be among the best footballers in the world. The side need to distribute the chances to a more players other than Messi and if coach Sabella fails to do that, Argentina will lose their chance at earning a third World Cup title.

One of the four sides to finish their group-stage matches with perfect nine points, Belgium have seen their fan base skyrocket to a new volume. The team are aiming to surpass their best placement in the World Cup in the past (fourth) by striving to subdue their subsequent foes including former champions Argentina in the quarter-finals. However, they almost lost their battle to United States in the Round of 16 following an exemplary performance by US goalie Tim Howard. The Belgians needed extra time to rake results and even though they earned all three points, none of their players obtained the Budweiser Man of the Match award.

World Cup betting tip: Argentina are the favorites to win in this tourney and they will emerge triumphant over Belgium with a winning goal in the second half.
