The last time Brazil hosted the World Cup, they finished as runners up. Five victories have since been achieved by the South American side and are now looking forward to clinching their sixth from their own soils.

Selecao have obtained automatic berth in the tournament as they are the host nation. They are seeded in Group A against Coratia, Mexico, and Cameroon. Of these sides, the first one would be their opponents for the curtain raiser. Croatia are an ensemble who have quite struggled to secure ticket for the Brazil trip during the qualifications in Europe. They finished behind Belgium in their group before beating Iceland in the UEFA playoffs. Current FIFA rankings put Brazil in the fourth spot while Croatia lag 16 spots behind.

Brazil are having their best years in their footballing history. They obtained numerous feats that they accomplished with impeccable ease; their best achievement being the championship of the Confederations Cup.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men are very young, yet they are among the world’s most dynamic achievers. Neymar, Oscar, Paulinho, and Fred, among others, have scoring abilities that enable them to find the net in any portion of the match. They can rip a shot on target from outside the box or make a key pass to an open teammate.

Vatreni, meanwhile, have enough talents (with emphasis on Mario Mandzukic) to fire a good fight against their hosts. They would certainly become aggressive, looking for goals that will allow the crowd have chills down to their spine. Once the streak holds traction, it will be tough to slow down the attack.

Croatia could make explosive displays against Mexico and Cameroon in Group A and may even get a chance to advance to the knockout stage. However, Brazil are a very difficult challenge and it will take tremendous efforts for Niko Kovač’s men to dominate or even just match the scoring.

World Cup betting tip: Brazil will open the games with an easy victory over Croatia.
