FIFA World Cup Betting Tips (CAF)

FIFA World Cup Betting Tips (CAF)

Nigeria

Defending Africa Cup of Nations champion, Nigeria is pitted against Ethiopia. Needless to say, Nigeria’s pedigree and range of achievements gives them the edge over the Black Lions.

The Super Eagles is a familiar face in the World Cup. Just recently, Stephen Keshi and his men had a short stint in the Confederations Cup where they thrashed Tahiti, but eventually left out by Uruguay and Spain. Despite its short stint, the team has had enough exposure to book a flight to Brazil.

Although Nigeria is a heavy favorite, overconfidence has no room in the play-offs for this might result to a stunning and disappointing defeat.

Senegal

The Lions of Teranga will try to replicate their 2002 quarter-final World Cup stint as they go against heavy favorites, Ivory Coast.

Expect the play-offs to be a grueling one. The rivalry between the two remains intense, following Senegal’s elimination in the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations. The encounter foresees Senegal’s impending revenge against the favorite, Ivory Coast.

Algeria

While it is true that Algeria had an early exit in the Africa Cup of Nations, this does not automatically dismiss them from being a strong World Cup contender.

Indeed, there is strong pressure when pitted against Africa Cup of Nations runners-up, Burikina Faso. However, the latter lacks the World Cup exposure—something that the Algerian side has managed to accomplish over the past few years.

Cameroon

Popularly called as “The Indomitable Lions,” Cameroon etched its name in World Cup history when it reached the quarterfinals. Now that there is yet another opportunity to create a loud buzz, the team does not intend to make things easy for Tunisia.

Tunisia qualified in the Africa Cup of Nations, but Cameroon did not. Nevertheless, Cameroon’s experience and craving for another World Cup stint, is enough to clinch the automatic spot to Brazil.
