FIFA U-17 Match Preview: Group F World Cup Betting Tips

Two titleholders and two newcomers, Group F offers an interesting match that will test the squad’s heart and winning spirit.

Incumbent champion, Mexico prepares to defend their title in the United Arab Emirates. A regular face in the competition, Raúl Gutiérrez and his men are determined to repeat what they have accomplished in 2011.

Mexico secured their World Cup appearance via making a clean sweep in all of its qualifying matches. Hungry for more glory and honor, the squad even clinched CONCACAF title when they disappointed the qualifying host, Panama.

Other than seeing another of Gutiérrez’s magic on the pitch, one should also watch out for Marco Antonio Granados. The youngster fired the most number of goals for the squad and is a key figure in their success.

Three-time U-17 Champion, Nigeria looks forward to their 4th trophy in the competition. A regular contender, the pressure is on for Manuel Garba and his squad.

Qualifying into the tournament is nothing new to Nigeria. This is despite finishing as runners-up in the recently concluded CAF U-17 Championship. Their impressive performance remains as their ticket to the competition.

If Mexico has Granados, Nigeria has Success Isaac and Kelechi Iheanacho whose combined scores make up for more than half of the squad’s 18 goals during the qualifiers.

Iraq has finally made it to the World Cup U-17 tournament. This will be the squad’s first appearance and they are keen on making a good impression.

Part of Iraq’s preparation includes joining different friendlies and tournaments within and outside the country. Despite being a green horn, the squad promises to be a worthy opponent to any of its future rivals.

Just like Iraq, Sweden is also a rookie in the tournament. Nevertheless, the Blågult are ready to show off what they can do in the pitch.

After a hard-fought battle against Russia, Sweden finished 3rd during the UEFA U-17 Championship. Despite failing to make it to the final, the mere fact that they forced Russia to engage in a penalty shootout, speaks well of the club’s high caliber pedigree.
