Czech Republic Confident To Enter World Cup In 2014

Czech Republic eyes for the 2nd  spot in Group B of the European World Cup qualifying match when it faces another World Cup hopeful, Armenia. World Cup odds also pick the Czechs as heavy favorites in the forthcoming clash.

Reviewing the rankings

Czech Republic currently occupies the 3rd spot in Group B. It only lost once in its 6 matches. They won 2 of it and drew thrice.

On the other hand, Armenia can only boast 2 wins out of its 6 encounters. Four (4) of them ended in unfortunate losses.

Based on the actual performance and statistics, it is evident that Czech Republic has the edge against its upcoming competitor.

Reminiscing the past

Last March, Czech Republic thrashed Armenia with a 3-0 victory, thanks to the efforts of Daniel Kolář and the young striker, Matěj Vydra. Petr Čech’s precious saves also helped the team keep a clean sheet.

What Michal Bílek must do

Somehow, the said match gave Czech Republic a blue print on how they can outlast Armenia for the second time. This means that Michal Bílek and his men must go for more scoring attempts and opportunities. But they must ensure that the attempts are readily converted. Otherwise, it will simply tire the whole team. Armenia is not the only group that they need to face now that the qualifying matches are about to end.

Although the Czechs never got a yellow card, they should be very careful in tackling the ball. Indeed, they won. But they committed more fouls than Armenia and they cannot afford to have one of its players eliminated because of a glaring red card.

Considering Czech Republic’s current team form, it is evident that they are in a much better position to clinch the needed victory.
